We began working with the Elliot Scott Group back in March 2017 and have provided several services, including website design, branding and marketing collateral. In January 2022, we became their full-service outsourced marketing agency
Launched in 2015 by Directors and friends Elliot Benton and Scott Burns, the Elliot Scott Group is one of the leading recruitment providers in the Crawley and Gatwick regions. Specialising in the Aviation, Construction and Hospitality sectors, the firm found itself in a problematic position post-pandemic. It, therefore, realigned its service and core sectors, including Commercial, Facilities and Industrial and has continued to strive.
We began working with the Elliot Scott Group back in March 2017 and have provided several services, including website design, branding and marketing collateral. In January 2022, we became their full-service outsourced marketing agency covering:
Situation
Following the pandemic, the Elliot Scott Group wanted to align their mission and pledge to ‘get the unemployed, re-employed’ within their brand. Therefore, Directors Elliot and Scott reached out to North East based artist/designer James Dixon from Lines Behind to collaborate and put their vision into action.
The Elliot Scott Group sought our help when the final design was signed off and tasked us with a brand relaunch like no other we’d worked on before.

The design

Press Release Coverage
We sent out a press release which was picked up by BBC Radio Surrey, who were impressed with the Elliot Scott Groups' new mission and branding and interviewed Director Elliot Benton live on the breakfast show. Click the image below to listen to the interview.
The press release was also picked up by the local MP for Crawley, West Sussex, Henry Smith. He has since visited the Elliot Scott Group to recognise their community efforts and meet the team.
You can read more about Henry’s visit on the Elliot Scott website here: https://bit.ly/36QLVl4.
Website design
The brief we received for the website was to ensure the new brand graphic from Lines Behind was replicated across all site elements, and remained in line with the existing look and feel that the Elliot Scott Group is renowned for.
The top navigation bar and implementation of sector pages have been crucial to ensuring the platform is user friendly and delivers a clear and consistent message to the desired target audience of both clients and candidates.
We used a system called ‘Sketch’ to design the sites look and feel before providing the team at the Elliot Scott Group with a prototype to conduct our first round of testing before we developed them.
We ensured the site was device responsive, fast-loading, and efficient during the development phase. The client also needed a clear and straightforward job upload form for internal use, and we developed this too.
Out of Town Advertising
We wanted to get the new branding in front of a new audience for Elliot Scott to widen their audience reach, and one of the ways we achieved this was utilising local billboard advertising.
The two locations included a gigantic screen opposite Three Bridges Train Station which displays the Elliot Scott Group branding along with iconic firms such as Asda, Renault and Brighton FC, as well as a digital board at local football club, Three Bridges FC.
Easter competition and organic social media activity
The rebrand fell just before Easter, so it was perfectly timed for an Easter Egg hunt within the new fresh design. Our design team created several templates for four social media channels; LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and launched the competition for the Bank Holiday weekend.
The competition was to find the hidden Easter eggs amongst the new brand and all entrrants were entered into a draw to win a luxury, personalised easter egg.
Paid Facebook Advertising
The launch post included a video which featured artist/designer James Dixon from Lines Behind and the team at the Elliot Scott Group. To ensure this got in front of as many people as possible, we boosted the post on Facebook. The initial response was fantastic, and we reached over 10,000 people with nearly 2,000 engagements.
