stevensdrake is a business, commercial and private client law firm in the South East, based in the thriving Crawley business community. stevensdrake has been a client of Creative Pod for several years. We began working with them in August 2017 and we have helped them with a wide range of ongoing marketing activities, including a new website, social media management, PR and management of their Google Ads. 

Prior to them joining Creative Pod, the stevensdrake team didn’t have anyone working on their marketing, so they approached us seeking guidance on the best platforms and channels for their brand.

The Brief 

stevensdrake is a business, commercial and private client law firm in the South East, based in the thriving Crawley business community. stevensdrake has been a client of Creative Pod for several years. We began working with them in August 2017 and we have helped them with a wide range of ongoing marketing activities, including a new website, social media management, PR and management of their Google Ads.

Our Solutions

Socials 

We established a consistent posting schedule across LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter (now X), which gained positive results. We then expanded their social media presence by creating and managing an Instagram account. Our content strategy includes a mix of service showcases, team updates, and legal news, all presented with bold graphics, photos, and video content that aligns with their brand.

As a creative agency, we always incorporate a fun Christmas campaign for each of our clients. In 2023, we launched a week-long social media campaign for stevensdrake featuring new graphics aligned with their brand. The campaign highlighted various Christmas-themed fake news stories about how the stevensdrake team assisted Santa with different holiday activities. These included Santa adopting more elves and seeking advice from the stevensdrake Family Law Department, and a feature titled “From Workshop to Home Sweet Home,” which showcased the head elf at the North Pole working with stevensdrake’s Conveyancing team to buy his first home.

Google ads 

To drive more leads, we launched targeted Google Ads focused on conversions to attract new customers for each of stevensdrake’s services. We provide weekly reports to keep the stevensdrake team informed, and regularly suggest adjustments or experiment with new campaigns to enhance ad performance.

Website 

We designed and built a user-friendly website that effectively showcases stevensdrake’s services. They wanted a separate space for their ‘business services’ and their ‘professional services’ so that people could be easily directed to their required service area, whether it be family law or litigation. Each department was consulted to ensure their information was clearly presented. We also focused on creating multiple contact points and an easy-to-use enquiry form, making it simple for potential clients to reach out.

The website also includes a customisable section on the homepage to highlight the latest updates on new deals and accomplishments by the team.

Blogs 

To keep the website fresh and relevant, we regularly collaborate with stevensdrake to come up with relevant blog ideas that keep in mind important SEO keywords. These posts help demonstrate the company’s expertise and keep clients informed. Additionally, we write and publish blogs on recent deals and team updates, including any charity work they are involved in. Blog titles include “Walking to support Citizens Advice”, “stevensdrake secures partnership deal for SOCIUS Network and BioPak UK” and “New ‘flexible working’ Code of Practice on its way”. 

PR 

When stevensdrake completes a significant deal or has news to share, we work with them, as well as other companies involved to craft compelling stories. These are then distributed to local and where relevant, national, press. Stories have been published in online publications such as The Business Connect, Global Legal Chronicle and Legal Reader. This has helped to enhance stevensdrake’s brand awareness and visibility.

Newsletter 

We collaborate closely with the stevensdrake team, to produce bi-monthly newsletters, allowing stakeholders and clients to have regular updates from the firm. 

We have multiple audiences for different topics, for example, we have newsletters going out from the Employment Law department which has 226 recipients, and then a more general newsletter for a wider audience which has 822 recipients. In the past year, stevensdrake news has achieved an excellent open rate of 39%. 

Networking in the community 

Recognising stevensdrake’s commitment to the local community, we actively work to raise their profile within the region. This includes reaching out to local schools, networking events, and other community opportunities for the team to participate in.

For team members looking to increase their individual presence, we arrange opportunities on local podcasts and speaking events, further establishing stevensdrake as a leader in their field. 

Each year, we work to establish stevensdrake a charity partner. For 2024 they chose Chestnut Tree House. Throughout the year, we have collaborated closely with Chestnut Tree House to identify various fundraising opportunities for the team to participate in, such as the ‘Bag It and Give It’ initiative, where the team generously donated clothing and other items for Chesnut to sell in their charity shops. We also created a JustGiving page, to share on stevensdrake social pages, which facilitates a streamlined donation collection during their charity events such as coffee mornings and charity walks.

The Results

Google Ads campaign, running since September 2022. 

  • Impressions 111,826, which has been great for boosting brand awareness. 
  • Large volume of traffic to their website with 7,722 clicks (average CPC £2.04).
  • From this we generated 684 conversions for the brand. (Their conversions ranged, from tracked enquiry forms, to tracked phone calls).

The statistics below reflect the results from the past twelve months of social media management for stevensdrake’s Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook accounts.

Instagram 

  • Followers: 64 new followers
  • Engagement Rate: 18.1% (significantly higher than the industry average of 1.4%)
  • Total Engagements: 356

LinkedIn 

  • Followers: 96 new followers
  • Engagement Rate: Increase from 4.6% to 8.6% (with the industry average being 1.12%)
  • Total Impressions: 22,520

Facebook 

  • Engagement Rate: Increase from 0.8% to 3.2% (with the industry average being 0.98%)
  • Total Engagements: 792
  • Total Impressions: 11,076
