We created a complete rebrand and two new websites for QCG!
Quality Care Group (QCG) is one of the UK’s largest independent insurance brokers and suppliers of business services to the Care Sector. With over 30 years combined experience in care, they are built up of five businesses; QCG, Care Insurance, Business Solutions, General Insurance, and Risk Control. They also have a sister company, Pollards Promises, which is the charitable arm of QCG. They chose a nominated individual in the care industry to fulfil a ‘bucket list’, wish of theirs.
They started working with Creative Pod in September 2019 for a rebrand of their different sectors, and alongside this our design team designed and built two brand new websites. We also became their fully outsourced marketing and design team, which includes monthly social media posting across their three platforms for both companies, as well as PR creation and outreach, paid advertising, campaign planning, and design work.
Situation
QCG wanted to completely rebrand the company, they felt it was a good time to give the brand a refresh and bring their bespoke products and services under one umbrella of the Group. Furthermore, they were looking for clear guidelines and rules that current and future members of the business could follow regarding the tone of voice and presentation of the company to ensure a streamlined and cohesive image.

Rebranding
Initially, our senior designer presented three different logo ideas, and once one was chosen, we worked on three rounds of amends to reach the exact brand that the client was happy with. For each of the different sectors, we designed slight alterations to the branding, such as using different colouring. We also created clear brand guidelines to assist in website creation and future projects.
Website
The web team created two sleek, easy-to-use websites, one for QCG consisting of a different page for each of the five sectors using different colours, and a separate website for Pollards Promises. Throughout both websites, we used the same tone of voice to portray a dynamic, streamlined reflection of the business.
Focus Group
Alongside this activity, the marketing team set up a focus group with a few members of the company to pinpoint their core values. We carried out a series of tasks to encourage the group to work together to define what makes Quality Care Group different. These core values contribute to the character of the brand on the website, throughout the brand itself and throughout the marketing activity.
Rebrand Launch
We started working with QCG back in September 2019 and whilst the rebrand and websites were being built, we were planning a rebrand launch. Unfortunately, as Covid struck in March 2020, this pushed the rebrand back until October 2020, and we switched to a virtual rebrand instead! When the launch was going to be in person, we planned to:
In the weeks leading up to the rebrand, we worked closely with QCG to organise the event over zoom. We ran a presentation to members of the company about the work we had done, how and why the branding fits with their core values, and how to use these elements to create a consistent company image with their current and prospective customers.
After the launch, we began our marketing activity, specifically focusing on monthly social media batches across both QCG and Pollards Promises. We continue to post two-three times a week across their three platforms which are planned in advance, as well as any requested ad hoc posts. Alongside this, the marketing team works on regular press releases, email marketing, paid advertising, and campaign planning.
