We designed an Instagram Grid Competition for Bell Tent Sussex to bring in significant brand awareness and gather email data that we could use later to re-target for conversions.
Bell Tent Sussex was created with the goal of providing everyone with an excellent glamping experience with reasonably priced bell tents. They sell cotton canvas bell tents to the whole of the UK as well as accessories such as stoves, rugs, beds etc. They came on as a client of Creative Pod in November 2021, and we began executing marketing campaigns and PPC with his goals in mind.
Situation
As an e-commerce business, Bell Tent Sussex's primary goals were conversions and brand awareness. As Easter was approaching, we knew we wanted to create a campaign around this; as the weather improves and people begin planning for summer, it's an optimal time to advertise.

We designed a campaign to bring in significant brand awareness and gather email data that we could use later to re-target for conversions. We planned and executed an Instagram grid competition giveaway for a 5-metre bell tent where the audience had to hunt for an easter egg hidden in a camping scene.
To enter, they had to like the post, share the post and follow the page as well as submit their answer on a landing page. This is where we got users to enter their email and tick if they were happy to receive email marketing emails. This was the hidden gem of this competition, as since then, we have sold over £4000 worth of products to those who entered via email marketing.
We advertised this competition through organic social activity, on the company website as well as paid Facebook and Instagram ads. We saw a massive increase in activity and engagement over the competition period, and the main post saw huge figures; see below.
Competitions done correctly can be an excellent way to bring activity to your social pages, drive traffic to a specific page, and gather data to use in the future.
