Background

With unparalleled knowledge of the market, an extensive international network, and a pragmatic approach to recruitment, Chris Byrne, owner and founder of The ITSM Community, took the leap of faith from the city and set up his own consultancy firm within the ITSM community to source the best talent for the industry.

Situation

The existing brand, although relatively new, was well established across the ITSM community but in need of a fresh and modern twist. From our initial briefing, it was apparent that Chris was proud of his home city, Brighton. Still, he also wanted to create a friendly, approachable and trustworthy brand amongst his network.


Branding Refresh

The ITSM Consultancy already had a strong brand and online presence, particularly on social media; however, it had become quite one dimensional and needed to stand out from a busy marketplace. The branding team at Creative Pod enhanced the existing brand, introduced specific branding colours and guidelines and implemented this across all online and offline channels.

Website design

The brief we received for the website was to ensure clear differentiation between career aspirations and team development and learning whilst implementing a quick and sufficient shop window for online training courses which could be purchased online. The top navigation bar has been crucial to ensuring the platform is user friendly and delivers a clear and consistent message to the desired target audience of both clients and candidates.

We used a system called ‘Sketch’ to design the sites look and feel before providing the team at The ITSM Consultancy with a prototype to conduct our first round of testing before we developed them. 

During the development phase, we ensured the site was device responsive, fast-loading and efficient. The client also needed a clear and straightforward enquiry form for potential clients or candidtes to speak to the team.



Organic Social Media Marketing

Throughout December, we sent out regular social content across their two channels; LinkedIn & Twitter. We designed an advent calendar campaign that included prize draws, handy top tips, CV reviews and quotes and facts throughout the entire month.

The initial response on social was fantastic:

Total Engagement Rate:

  • LinkedIn engagement increased by 372%
  • Twitter engagement increased by 5207%

Total Likes/Impressions:

  • LinkedIn received 405 likes
  • Twitter received 400 likes
  • LinkedIn received 23,014 impressions
  • Twitter received 99,026 impressions
